A Different Approach to Health and Wellbeing.

The Sencune Wellness Collective

The Senchune Wellness Collective is a coming together of like minded humans; we are paradigm shifters, creative forces, and mountain movers. Our mission is to help modern people align their intuition with their physiology, strive for not only health but vitality, & connect with a community of conscious beings who are working to create a better earth.

Dr. Kayla Clarke, ND

Naturopathic Doctor (BC) & Senchune Director

I was born in Vancouver, BC and have spent my life amongst the forest, ocean, and mountains, a PNW girl through and through. After completing a degree in Behavioural Neuroscience from SFU, I enrolled in the Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine program at Boucher Institute of Naturopathic Medicine in Vancouver. This profession allowed me to answer my calling as a healer, but not within the realm of the dysfunctional western medical system.

I am an intuitive empath wired with a highly sensitive nervous system, which manifested as intense anxiety and environmental sensitivities (allergies and eczema). Because of my own journey and passion, I enjoy helping other highly sensitive leaders recalibrate thier nervous systems and health to our modern world.

In my practice, I draw from values of connection and balance, and enjoy helping modern humans connect with their health, thrive in their worlds, and execute their purpose. In my practice I often combines elements of neuroscience, modern medicine and technology with ancient knowledge, tradition, and culture.

I have a well rounded foundation in many conditions and I enjoy helping modern people thrive. I also have a special interest in working with those who have difficulty existing in the world - those with allergies, skin conditions like eczema and topical steroid withdrawal, and autoimmune disease.

Outside of work, you can find me in the kitchen, hiking up mountains, or questioning the meaning of life. Always learning, doing, growing, experiencing, messing up, and trying again – I am an avid student of life. A sense of community is important to me, and I love getting to know my neighbours and community members (real life and virtual), so don’t be shy and say hello!

Things I take into consideration

Through my education, training, and experiences, I have developed a unique set of skills. I like to use these skills to help people achieve more balance, feel more magic in their lives, cultivate more connection, and feel more comfortable in their own skin.

Environmental inputs

The air you breathe and the water you drink, the quality and type of foods you eat, where you live and work, your level of physical exercise, your community engagement and relationships, and toxic exposures or traumas you have experienced all affect your health.

Mind-body elements

Psychological, spiritual, and social factors all can have a profound influence on your health and are often forgotten in todays medicine

Genetic makeup

Although individual genes may make you more susceptible to some diseases, your DNA is not an unchanging blueprint for your life. Epigenetics shows that your genes may be influenced by everything in your environment, as well as your experiences, attitudes, and beliefs. That means it is possible to change the way genes are activated and expressed.

Personal Growth.

I am committed to my own personal growth, healing, learning and development. I understand that each person has their own unique story and I strive to meet you right where you're at. My own story has provided its own challenges but I have come to appreciate them as some of my greatest periods of growth. This allows me to see each patient through an authentic, compassionate lens. I aim to evolve continuously, in my professional and personal life.

I find my value when I stand as a positive energy in the lives of others. My goals as a doctor are to:

  • Create a foundation for healing and growth
  • Foster an environment for personal empowerment
  • Support health and wellness in the bodies, minds, and spirits of my patients.
  • Help you align your intuition with your physiology so you can show up to life and execute your purpose.

Medicine requires authenticity, support, and honesty, and I uphold these in every one of my patient encounters. Healing also requires collaboration, and it is up to you to uphold your part as well. I want my patients to be partners in their own healing. I want them to understand how powerful their minds and bodies really are and how to create a foundation for long lasting health.
